Sibanda, Bongani

BonganiSibanda.jpgBongani Sibanda is a Zimbabwean writer based in Johannesburg, South Africa. His short fiction has appeared in the Kalahari Review, the Munyori Literary Journal, and in Writing Lives (Weaver Press, 2014), and Writing Mystery and Mayhem (Weaver Press, 2015). His short story, ‘Musoke’, a fictionalized account of Uganda’s former LRA leader, Dominic Ongwen, was longlisted for the ABR Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Award.   He has one published collection Grace and Other Stories (Weaver Press, 2016)

He attended the Caine Prize Works in Rwanda in 2018, and his short story ‘Ngozi’, written at the workshop, was published in Redemption Song and Other Stories (New Internationalist Publications Ltd, 2018).
